3M HEADLINDER CEMENT 1357 GRAY/GREEN

April 25, 2023

Pros: Very strong bond. Relatively quick to be ready to bond. Con: cement is a dark gray/green color and soaks through wool headliner material to stain the finish side of the bond. I was forced to use another contact cement that dried clear in areas where the back side of the bond was visible.

Q: Is this Light Yellow? Is this 3m 62-1368-7535-8 62136875358?

No, this is a gray/green color.

Q: Would this product be recommended for use with neoprene door moulding?

3m weather strip adhesive would be a better product for this application. Our part number 09-27200.

Q: will this 3M Hi Performance 1357 adhesive work with the faux headliner material?

Yes this should work great.

Q: is this compatible with polybrush and polyfiber fabric? will it loosen the fabric?

No, PolyFiber does not recommend it. Poly-tak is the glue used with the Polyfiber system.

Q: What is the application method for this? Can this be brushed or rolled?

It can be brushed or rolled.

Q: Can this be used to attach leather to metal (in aircraft side panels, for example) or is there a better product?

We would recommend Pliobond #20 for this specific application.

Q: I’m patching a rubber cover. In the past I have used 3M -1357 Neoprene High Performance Contact Adhesive. Is this the same adhesive?

We believe you would want our part number 09-17570.
