Overview

The "Help You Out Handle" is a FAA-PMA approved replacement part for a wide variety of Cessna aircraft. When your flimsy cast pot metal OEM door handle breaks in your hand, replace it with this solid metal handle milled from a single Billet of Aluminum. Never again wonder if the OEM handle will break the day someone tries to get you out of the aircraft.

Perfect fit up, no mods. Its more stout than the original and looks better too. We put the buffer to it before install and it shines on my all read 180!

Very nice handles. I wish they would have provided a stainless steel screw for the screen retainer.

CESSNA EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE PMA

November 30, 2022

This handle did not fit our 1978 180K, despite being advertised as fitting that model. Even just getting the handle to fit through the opening in the door, and into the mechanism required extensive filing. Once in, it turned out that the hinge holes did not line up close enough to operate the mechanism correctly, and this is not something we could fix. Obviously, by then, we couldnt return this part either. This part ended up costing us $220 and many hours of futile effort before we gave up and bought a $35 used part on eBay, which worked perfectly. This is a PMA part and, by law, should bolt right up in place of the original. Completely unsatisfactory.
