Overview

The Fuel Level Sender has a resistance rating of 10 ohms when the tank is empty and 180 ohms when full. The unit can be adjusted to read accurately in tanks from 6" to 23" deep.

Q: What is the mount diameter for mounting screws?

This would be approximately 2" in diameter between the mounting screws.

Q: What would be the proper replacement gasket for this fuel sender? Is it the same as the VDO 226-02 model?

This unit requires manufacturer part number 226 053 neoprene gasket. Please contact our sales department for current lead time and ordering.

Q: Is this VDO fuel sender 10-180 ohms FAA approved?

No, this product does not have FAA approval.

Q: Is this gage a floating ground?

Yes, this is a float type sender.

Q: Is this sender compatible with the Dynon D180?

The D180 works with both Capacitive and Resistive Float senders. This is a resistive float type.

Q: What is the difference between this sender and the 226-001?

This comes with the mounting kit. The -001 does not.

Q: Can this unit be mounted in the side of a fuel tank?

This would need to be vertically mounted.
