Great quality little switch with a small footprint, especially for my pilot yolk on my Piper Cherokee since the trim switch takes up so much space.

My ptt switch in my 1967 PA28-180 was showing signs of deterioration and needed replacement. This switch so far has been a suitable replacement although it does require a bit more thumb pressure for positive switching. The rubber dust cover increases the surface area which makes a more comfortable surface to press.

This should replace most PTT switches. Pricey but does not have a snap-on button like the cheaper switches. I found cheaper switch snap-on buttons would pop off as I brushed my leg over them. That’s why I spent the extra money to purchase this switch—the button is one piece. Time will tell how the contacts hold-up.

The threaded portion needs to be 2mm longer for most panel thicknesses.

Really nice switch, just wish it had holes for wires to go through, or some sort of connector setup like the large ones do.

Q: What are the dimensions?

We have added the spec sheet with dimensions included to the 'Documents' tab on the web page.

Q: Does this switch also come with the knurled switch nut?

It comes with a standard hex nut to mount the switch, but the dust cover has a knurled edge.

Q: Does this switch fit inside the yoke on a 1970 PA-28/180 as is or does it require modifications to yoke?

We do not have an application guide for this item by aircraft. We cannot say for sure what modifications would be necessary in your specific aircraft. We recommend discussing with your A&P installer to determine if this item will work.
