Replaced six old EI gauges monitoring an O-360 and this was the least expensive (and most interesting) option. It is paired with an RDAC on the firewall. Appreciate the all-in-one display. Like the compactness and ability to configure manually. Like that I was able to re-use a bunch of probes. Also like that all parameters are adjustable (High/Low/warning) and that you can trigger a warning LED of any of those stray outside of the defined values. Was able to pipe in a 0-5v reading off an Engine Bridge to monitor my P-Mag which is very cool. Garmin/Dynon let you do this with their displays but very cool to have this at the price point. Again, this is paired with the RDAC so you will need that for expanded functionality. Only complaints are that it doesnt data record (more expensive extreme EMS does) and that the data fields arent configureable to put in upper or lower data field- too bad when the rest is so user configurable. However: These are trifling complaints for an extremely cost effective system that is easy to use and much better than multiple gauges. Id give it six stars if I could.

This thing is awesome in my 2 stroke kitfox. If you have more than 2 cylinders you’ll need to add the RDAC. Mine did come with an OAT probe. I was replacing steam gauges so already had all of the sensors installed and was able to unplug them from the old instruments and wire them to the harness of the Ems-2. I’m displaying volts, rpm, water temp, OAT, and egts. Very straightforward installation and even easier if you get the RDAC.

I haven’t used it yet but if you have an engine with more than two cylinders you will need their RDAC, another $200…. So far MGL has been fairly responsive answering questions about how to hook everything up. I. Running a superior O360
